Baby Blanket

(the colors of the background are the colors of the blanket!!)

Materials:
Needles:  Size 10, Circular or Straight
Yarn:

 

I used TLC Red Heart Super Saver, 100% Acrylic, no dye lot, worsted weight.

For each color, I used quite a bit less than the 1 skein, so certainly use leftover yarn if you have it!  Of course, the yellow uses the most yarn, while the dark blue uses the least.

1 skeins Yellow (Y )
1 skeins Green (G )
1 skeins Light Blue ( LB ) 
1 skein Dark Blue (DB )

Stitch Pattern: Divided Boxes
     6 rows, multiple of 5 sts
Gauge:  5 sts x 6 rows = 1" square on size 10 needles
Pattern: OOOOO
OOOOV
OOOVV
OOVVV
OVVVV
VVVVV
Rows:
  1. (RS) Knit across
  2. (K1, P4) across
  3. (K3, P2) across
  4. (K3, P2) across
  5. (K1, P4) across
  6. Knit Across
    Repeat rows 1-6 for Pattern

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Cast On 160 stitches in Y
    • Work 4 pattern repeats in Y
  • Add Green: 20 stitches Y * 120 stitches G * 20 stitches Y
    •   Work 4 pattern repeats in Y - G - Y
  • Add Light Blue: 20 Y * 20 G * 80 LB * 20 G* 20 Y
    • Work 4 pattern repeats in Y - G - LB - G - Y
  • Add Dk Blue: 20 Y * 20 G * 20 LB * 40 DB * 20 LB * 20 G * 20 Y
    • Work 8 pattern repeats in Y - G - LB - DB - LB - G - Y
  • Subtract Dark Blue: 20 Y * 20 G * 80 LB * 20 G* 20 Y
    • Work 4 pattern repeats in Y - G - LB - G - Y
  • Subtract Light Blue: 20 stitches Y * 120 stitches G * 20 stitches Y
