Mississippi State basketball’s Iverson Molinar signs with agent

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State point guard Iverson Molinar left a sliver of hope for fans wishing he’d be playing back at Humphrey Coliseum next season. When he declared for the NBA Draft a month ago, he said he would test the waters but maintain his eligibility.

That changed Monday evening when Molinar announced on Instagram he has hired an agent.

“… It is time for me to take the next step forward in my career,” Molinar wrote.

Molinar was Mississippi State’s top scorer last season, averaging 17.5 points, 3.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game.

He was an All-SEC first team selection by the coaches after finishing third in the conference in scoring.
